Minecraft is game about building shelter to survive hostile mobs. Building in Minecraft is only limited by your imagination and some of the creations people generate are amazing. The game runs through a day and night cycle. During the day non hostile animals spawn, but at night the mobs come out such as zombies, skeletons and creepers. The rice portion of this bento is a creeper.
The second part is honey glazed acorn squash with black sesame seeds. The building blocks are watermelon, carrot and cucumber. Then Japanese style chicken nuggets (taken from Yum-Yum Bento) with small pixels of radish and a tomatohead sauce container with some ponzu. Yum-Yum indeed!
All I did was add some green food coloring to already cooked and warm rice. Shaped it with plastic wrap so I don't get rice all over my hands and then cut out the face and feet with nori. Really easy. It kinda looks like the real creeper, but I totally made the body too narrow. Oh well, rice artist not so much.
My husbands bento has nothing to do with Minecraft, but still has much of the same food. Two onigiri, broccoli and two vegan pumpernickel wraps, actually it was one just cut in half. The remainder of the honey glazed squash, some fruit and some carrot accents. Again, simple and cute.
