Little Piggy Bento

My stepdaughter started her junior year today. Like a lot of teens her age, she is totally into manga and all things cute and Japanese. She is my main inspiration for making these bentos. The look of excitement on her face makes me to just make more and more and more! She gets it and really appreciates these, so of course I will keep making them and insure that they are as cute as possible.

The bottom part of her two tier bento (which is the larger part) has three onigiri with ham and nori to make the piggies, with tomato and broccoli to fill in the space around them. The next box is strawberry, edamame on a cute food pick, store bought seaweed salad in the cup, pot stickers, turkey dog with edamame and a ham and cheese flower.

This is my husband's bento box with many of the same elements. It’s also a little bigger so I can add a few more things. This on is almost vegan. Rice with carrots and green beans, tomatoes and broccoli, and veggie tofu pot stickers. The vegan rolls are made with with carrots, green beans, vegan cream cheese and vegan (fake) meat. Plus he has some fruit complete with happy food pick!
